ITALIAN OPINION AMERICAN INTERVENTION INEVITABLE. LONDON. May 11. The Rome Press is preparing the public for United States intervention in the war. The "Messagero" says intervention is a matter of weeks and days. The "Popolo di Roma" says that while President Roosevelt prepares for intervention, London plans to cede the United States military bases in South Africa.
