PLANES CRASH PICK-A-BACK—Two Royal Canadian Air Force student pilots landed these interlocked aircraft safely at a flying training school. The two aircraft, Avro Anson twin-engined trainers, were gliding in for a landing when" they collided 50ft. off the ground and became locked together. The pilot in the upper plane stopped his engine, and the pilot in the lower machine brought both to a safe landing. The lower aircraft was considerably damaged, but the upper one escaped serious damage.
