NAZI ARMED TRAWLER
CAUGHT BY BRITISH PATROL SHIP SCUTTLED BY CREW. LATTER RESCUED & TAKEN PRISONER. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.50 a.m.) RUGBY, May 9. An Admiralty communique states: “One of our patrols, operating in northern waters, encountered the Munchen, a German armed trawler. Fire was opened and the crew of the Munchen then abandoned and scuttled the ship. They were subsequently rescued and made prisoner.
