AKITIO COUNTY RIDING & OTHER NOMINATIONS. (“Times-Age” Special.) In only the Pongaroa Riding of the Akitio County Council is an election necessary. Four nominations have been received for two vacancies, those nominated being Messrs Leonard Ballantyne, Leonard Johnston, James Wishart Murray and Thomas Arthur Yeoman. In the other ridings the following were elected unopposed:—Akitio, Mr Cyril Paul Hunter; Rakaunui, Mr Alan Wilfred Ruskell; Waihi North. Mr Errol Spencer Ellingham; Waihi South, Mi- Douglas Dickson Riddell; Mataikona, Mr Douglas Wanklyn Gray. As the representative of the county on the Wairarapa Hospital Board, Mr Harold Thomas was elected unopposed and similarly, Mr L. Johnston was elected the county representative on the Tararua Electric Power Board.
