MINISTER OF LANDS AND MR COATES EFFORT TO GET MARKET FOR PRODUCE. PURCHASE OF MUNITIONS. . (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. The intention of the Government to send the Minister of Lands, Mr Langstone. to the United States of America to initiate and promote trade negotiations, particularly for the sale of dairy produce, meat and other primary products, was announced by the Minister of Finance, Mr Nash, yesterday. Mr Coates, member of the War Cabinet is also to visit America in connection with the supply of munitions. “Mr Langstone, who will leave at an early date, will be accompanied by officers of the Customs, Supply and Marketing Departments,” said Mr Nash. “During his visit he will make the preliminary arrangements for the establishment of the New (Zealand Legation in, Washington. “Mr Coates has also’ been requested by the Government and the War Cabinet to visit the United States to organise and expedite arrangements for the supply of munitions necessary to the defence of the Dominion.”
