FURTHER NOMINATIONS CLOSE BOROUGHS & COUNTIES. CONTEST IN MASTERTON. At noon today nominations closed for candidates for several local bodies in the Wairarapa. The Mayor of Masterton, Mr T. Jordan, has been again reelected unopposed, but for the eleven vacancies on the Masterton Borough Council fourteen nominations have been received and an election will be necessary. A poll will also be required for the election of three borough representatives on the Wairarapa Hospital. Board, for which there are four candidates. Nominations arc: — BOROUGHS MASTERTON.
