LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST FAIR TO FINE. COLD NIGHT TEMPERATURES. The following official weather report and forecast was issued by . the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— FORECAST: Gradually freshening north-westerly winds. Weather fair to fine with cold night but moderate day temperatures. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Possibly a few showers tomorrow night, but fair westerly weather should prevail for a day or two. LOCAL REPORT. Masterton: Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today: Barograph. 30.38: shade temperature, maximum 49.4, minimum 32.8. terrestial 23.6; rain, trace; frost, 6.8 degrees. The sun rose today al 7.12 a.m. and sets at 5.23 p.m. Phases of the Moon: Full moon. May 11. 5.15 p.m.: last quarters, May 18. 1.17 p.m.: new moon. May 26. 5.18 p.m.
