DUTCH AIRMEN
SERVING IN COASTAL COMMAND. BRITISH MINISTER’S TRIBUTE. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. May 1. The Secretary- of Stale for Air, Sir Archibald Sinclair, speaking at a Batavian luncheon in London, particularly mentioned the Dutch airmen who. he said, since last June had been playing their part in the ceaseless watch and ward which the Coastal Command keeps around British coasts and shipping. work for which they were well fitted by their peace time training among the Dutch Islands. "They have rendered great service in carrying out these long, arduous sweeps over the sea which tax so sorely man’s courage and endurance,” Sir Archibald said. “They are there today in the ranks of those who are fighting the Battle of the Atlantic, which may well prove to be the most important of all.”
