ANGLO-IRAK DISPUTE OVER ADMISSION OF TROOPS: PROVISIONS OF THE TREATY. LONDON, May 1. The dispute between the British Government and Irak in the interpretation of the Anglo-Iraki Treaty has not yet been settled. The treaty provides that in the event of imminent danger to the country, Irak is to give Britain all facilities available.

ISSUES RAISED ADMISSION & MOVEMENT OF TROOPS. PRESSURE ON THE IRAQUI GOVERNMENT. (Received This Day, 11.5 a.m.) RUGBY, May 1. Bagdad reports show that certain difficulties have arisen in connection with the presence of Imperial forces in Iraq. Following on the arrival of British troops at Basra, the Iraqui administration suddenly took the line that they could not agree to the arrival of further British troops before those already arrived had passed through. Since the British Government could not agree to any derogation of their clear treaty rights, the movement proceeded as planned and units disembarked at Basra. Certain concentrations of the Iraqui army, however, have, now taken place, which might be regarded as a threat to the security of the British air base at Habbaniyah, 60 miles west of Bagdad. The Iraqui administration is being pressed to remove the troops in question as soon as possible, to avoid risk of any incident.
