SIR CHARLES LUKE
BEQUEST TO WELLINGTON HOSPITAL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Tribute to the service to the Wellington Hospital of the late Sir Charles Luke was paid at a meeting of the hospital board last night. The chairman, Mr F. Castle, said the city had lost one of its greatest citizens. On the motion of Mr Castle, seconded by Mr J. Glover, the board recorded its appreciation of Sir Charles’s service during his long association with the administration of the Wellington Hospital, and tendering its sympathy to his relatives. The late Sir Charles’s executors advised that under, his will a legacy of £2OO had been left to the board. Mr Castle expressed the board’s appreciation of this action.
