GERMAN TROOPS

The “Pravda” says it is reliably reported from Tallin that 12,000 German troops, equipped with tanks and artillery, were aboard four transports and landed at Abo (Turku) Finland on April 26. They proceeded to Tam? pore on April 28. “QUITE REGULAR” ACCORDING TO GERMANS. SOVIET AWARE OF TROOP MOVEMENTS. (Received This Day, 10.15 a.m.) LONDON. April 30. Official circles in London declared that is no confirmation of the landing of Germans in Finland but, according to the Associated Press of Great Britain’s Moscow correspondent, German sources assert that the Soviet has long been aware that German troops were going northward, via Finland, and the latest landing is quite regular. J A Swiss agency at Helsinki says officials deny reports of joint GermanFinnish manoeuvres in Finland. SIGNIFICANT REMINDEDR IN GERMAN ARMY PAPER. (Received This Day, 10.15 a.m.) ZURICH, April 30. The official German Army newspaper, for the first time since the signing of the Russian-German treaty, reminds its readers “never to forget that Herr Hitler was the first to take up the fight against the Bolshevist terror regime.”
