HEROIC DEFENCE

BY SMALL GREEK GARRISON ON LEMNOS. GERMANS RESISTED FOR FOUR HOURS. LONDON, April 25. Reports received today tell of the heroic resistance put up by the small Greek garrison on the island of Lemnos, 60 miles from the Dardanelles. The Germans began to disembark from transports, which had arrived with an escort of aeroplanes. The garrison fought the invaders for over four hours.
