POSTED MISSING

SERGEANT-PILOT W. H. SWAIN. WELL-KNOWN MASTERTON ATHLETE. Cable advice that their son, Sergeant Pilot W. H. Swain, was posted missing on operations on April 23, was received by Mr and Mrs A. W. Swain. Makora Road. Masterton, yesterday. Sergeant Pilot Swain, who was employed by the Masterton P. and T. Department for many years, was wellknown in Mastertoil as an all-round athlete. He was a member of the Masterton Swimming Club, the Old Boys’ Football Club, and later the Red Star Football Club. Sergeant Pilot Swain was educated at the Masterton Technical School. Sergeant Pilot Swain was a member of the Wairarapa and Ruahine Aero Club. He completed his training at Wigram.
