FREE FRENCH GOVERNORGENERAL. MESSAGE TO PRIME MINISTER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. • The following cablegram has been received by the Prime Minister (Mr Fraser) from M. Richard Brunot, Free French Governor-General in the Pacific, dated April 22: “On my arrival at Noumea I wish to respectfully tender you once again my gratitude for the wonderful welcome and splendid reception you and lhe New Zealand authorities were kind enough to accord us.” Mr Fraser, in his reply, said: “I am very much obliged to you for your telegram of April 22. Let me assure you how greatly we appreciated your visit and how much we are looking forward to seeing you and your party again and to renewing our discussions as to how best New Zealand and other British communities in the Pacific can assist the great cause to which the British Commonwealth and Free France are devoted.”
