MAN WITH TWO HEARTS

WHAT AUTOPSY REVEALED. A farmer, aged 78, John S. Frick, of Phoenix. Oregon, who died recently, had two hearts, both fully developed, and he died because of a ruptured left ventricle in the "extra” heart. Dr. E. E. Merkel gave this information to a “New York Times" representative af"er an autopsy. The second heart was in the lower left chest below the spleen and underneath a lung. The normal heart was in the usual place. Dr. Merkel said tlie second heart supplied blood to its own system of arteries and probably beat in unison with its companion organ. He added that Mr Frick had a normal pulse while he lived.
