Australian troops in North Africa have made two successful raids on enemy troops attempting' a drive towards Egypt. They left Tobruk in darkness and captured 17 Italian officers and 430 of other ranks. . . Another successful Biitish action was a landing at the port of Bardia, where the British troops blew up a vital bridge and made a huge bonfire of an enemy stores dump. Four defence guns were also put out of action. The main body of men returned safely, but 60 failed to return. British aircraft, although greatly outnumbered, intercepted an enemy air force squadron over Tobruk and shot down four, besides severely damaging others. Four enemy machines which attempted to raid Tobruk on Saturday were shot down by antiaircraft gunfire,
