COURSING

OPENING OF SEASON ON SATURDAY.

EVENTS AT AKURA PLUMPTON

The Wairarapa Coursing Club will commence its season's activities on Saturday at 1.45 p.m. at the Akura Plumpton. The main attraction will be a 1G dog Puppy Stakes for the Bradbury Trophy. Present indications are that a full nomination will contest the event. Competitors from Wellington. Wanganui. Hastings and Napier and a good representation of local owners will ensure an interesting meeting. A 12 dog Open Stake will also be run in conjunction. This has a good field of fast open dogs from all the principal centres of the North Island. Owneis are reminded that nominations close tomorrow evening with the secretary.
