GLADSTONE

SOCIAL GATHERING GIFTS TO AIR FORCE MEMBERS. (“Times-Age" Special.) The Gladstone Hall was packed on Thursday evening the occasion being a social gathering tendered to three members of the Air Force from this district. Mr D. McGregor, on behalf of the Gladstone, Longbush, and Te Whiti settlers. presented Messrs Brisco, Brown and P. Gawith with useful gifts. Each recipient suitably replied. The music for the dancing was supplied by Mrs Ashton’s Orchestra and Messrs V. Ashton and J. Eaton were M.C’s. The ladies of the three districts supplied the supper. The singing of “Auld Lang Syne" and the National Anthem brought to a close a very enjoyable gathering.
