WOMEN’S DIVISION MEETING AT PAHAUTEA. (“Times-Age” Special.) The annual meeting of the Pahautea branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held yesterday afternoon, when Mrs Ross presided over a good attendance of members. Two visitors, Mrs Hedley, and Miss Caldwell, were present. An apology for absence was received from Mrs Farquhar. The president read her report, which showed that the division had experienced a very successful year. She thanked the members for their cooperation. In the flower competition held over the year, for the president’s prize, Mrs Corlet and Mrs Connell tied. Mrs Grant’s prize for the most garments knitted for the Red Cross Society was won by Mrs Corlett. - The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mrs Ross (re-elect-ed); vice-presidents, Mesdames Connell, Farquhar, Cade, and Grant; se-cretary-treasurer, Miss Nancy Corlet; advisory members, Mesdames McKay and Ness; librarian, Mrs Grant; delegate to the Council, Mrs. Grant; hon. auditor, Mr Mortenson. The hostesses were Mesdames Rogers and Duffy. Personal Items. Mrs P. Bennett, New Plymouth, is the guest of Mrs C. Elgar, . “Fernside.” Mrs J. Moriarity is visiting Levin, and is the guest of Mrs Elstone.
