She had a complement of 190 officers and men and was armed with eight 4.7 inch guns, seven smaller guns and four 21 inch torpedo tubes. She was damaged during a raid on the Firth of Forth in December. 1939. The Mohawk fast year was claimed as sunk by the Germans.
