SHOT BY GUNMEN
ITALIAN NATURALISED [IN U.S.A. AFTER GIVING INFORMATION ON FASCIST ACTIVITIES. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day. 12.30 p.m.) CHICAGO. April 16. John Arena, editor of the Italian language newspaper “La Tribuna, was killed by two gunmen when leaving a picture theatre. Arena became an American citizen six months ago. The committee on Un-American Activities in Washington announced that Arena had supplied information to the committee on Fascist activities in the United States a few hours before he was shot.
