WAR IN EAST AFRICA OVERTURE FROM DUKE OF AOSTA PRESUMABLY SEEKING TERMS. PAUSE IN FIGHTING ON WHOLE' FRONT. LONDON, April 16. “The Times’ ” special correspondent at Aden says the Abyssinian war entered its last stage yesterday when the Duke of Aosta, Italian Viceroy of Abyssinia. requested safe conduct for an Italian aircraft in which an Italian envoy later landed at the Diredawa aerodrome. British officers met him, and while a parley proceeded not a single British bomber took to the air. The fighting has paused on the whole front.
