“BUY A POPPY”
ANNUAL SALE TOMORROW. FUNDS TO HELP EX-SERVICE MEN. “Buy a Poppy” will be the universal request in the Wairarapa tomorrow, when the annual sale of poppies will be made to raise funds for the relief of ex-service men. The Wairarapa R.S.A. has made complete arrangements for the sale in various parts of the district. • A street canvass will be conducted in Masterton by the Mayoress, Mrs T. Jordan, and helpers. The minimum price for a poppy is Is and it is some satisfaction to know that the proceeds will be used to relieve unemployment among ex-service men during the coming winter.
