WEDDING

BRISCO—POLSON. The marriage took place on Monday at St. Matthew's Church, Masterton, of Constance Freda, daughter of Mrs Polson and the kite Mr C. J. Polson, of Masterton, and Gilfred Rimington, son of the late Mr and Mrs A. H. Brisco, ot Palmerston North. The Ven. Archdeacon Rich was the officiating minister, and Mr Miller Hope presided at the organ.

The bride, who was escorted by her uncle, Mr Claud Howard, was attired in a beautiful frock of ivory satin with cut edge veil and a Juliet cap of orange blossoms’ and tiny arum lilies lent by Mrs D. Richards, of Masterton. She carried a sheaf of white chrysanthemums and carnations.

The bridesmaids, Misses Stella Polson, sister of the bride, Oriel Brisco, niece of the bridegroom, and Patty Peek, niece of the bride, all wore ankle length frocks of white georgette over satin, trimmed with geranium red velvet ribbon with bandeaux and shoes of the same shade. They also wore necklets of pearls, the gift of the bridegroom.

Mr Don Hunn attended the bridegroom as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Savage Club rooms. Mrs Polson, who wore a cerise coloured frock with black hat and shoulder cape, received the guests and was assisted by Mrs Hylton Brisco, who wore a becoming dark green frock trimmed with gold braid and. nat to match.

After the usual toasts had been honoured the guests drank the health of Mr and Mrs Hylton Brisco, who were that day celebrating the anniversary of their wedding and also their two sons, Messrs Robert ' and Donald Brisco, who are members of the New Zealand overseas forces. Later Mr and Mrs Gift Brisco left for Wellington. the bride wearing a petrel blue frock with smart navy hat and coat. Their future home will be at Winton, Southland.
