The period of devotion and meditation was held under the leadership of Mr W. E. Howe. At 10 a.m. Mrs Brooker occupied the chair. "Visual Education and Poster Work” was the subject for presentation and in the unavoidable absence of Miss Eliffe, owing to sickness, this was taken by Miss A. Doney. Many beautiful posters were exhibited. The method of enlarging pictures by squares was demonstrated by Miss Ruth Vickers. At the conclusion of the talk posters were given to the country school teachers with tracings of pictures and sets of letters. At 11.15 a.m. Mr H. E. Brooker took the chair and an address on “Special Days in Sunday School" was given by Mr K. Purdie. Those touched upon were Mother's Day, Father’s Day, Anniversary Day, Promotion Sunday, Dedication of Sunday School Teachers, Missionary and Christmas Days. A vote of thanks was extended to Mr Purdie for his helpful address.
Before the convention was closed votes of thanks were passed to the Masterton Convention Committee, those members of the Masterton churches and Sunday schools whose arrangements helped so mateially towards the success of the Convention, the members of the Ladies guilds who provided supper on the arrival of the delegates, the Board of Managers of Knox Church for permitting the lady teachers to camp in the Sunday School buildings, the Board of Directors of the Y.M.C.A. for permitting the men to camp in the Y.M.C.A. gymnasium, and to all those who in any way contributed to the arrangements and success of the Convention.
