DEMOCRATIC LABOUR
PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATES. FIRST GROUP ANNOUNCED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The New Zealand Democratic Labour Party yesterday announced its first group of Parliamentary candidates for selection ballots which are to be held in each electorate when the date of the general election is announced. Other lists will be issued at regular intervals. It is expected that the next list will include Canterbury and West Coast nominations.
The first 20 names of approved candidates are as follow; Messrs J. A. Lee, M.P.. W. E. Barnard. M.P., H. E. Herring, E. B. Newton, P. Connors, VI. G. Bishop, J. Thomson, F. G. J. Temm. N. V. Douglas (Auckland), B. Beckerleg (Auckland), J. W. Hosking (Auckland). A. Gilbert (Auckland), I. Brown (Wanganui), S. Hindmarsh (Wanganui)’, E. J. Esler (Masterton), R. E. Crawford (Featherston), L. Frame (Dunedin), W. D. Boreham (Dunedin), F. C. Cooper (Dunedin), and Mrs J. A. Lee.
