A message from Ossining states that two escaped convicts, who shot their way out of the Sing Sing infirmary, in a prison break before dawn, at a cost of four lives, were today captured in Rockland County. Using smuggled guns, the escapees killed an unarmed guard and overpowered another in the convict infirmary, whore a patient died from shock and excitement. In a running street gun battle outside Sing Sing, one of the three escapees and one policeman were killed. The two escaping convicts seized a boat and endeavoured to seek safety in deep, woods. Boats, planes and bloodhounds were used in their recapture.
