Master W. B. Cameron, son of Mr and Mrs R. D. Cameron, of Wangaehu Road. Masterton. was successful in winning the junior .championship al the recent Wanganui Collegiate School sports. Mr C. H. Vincent, manager of the Bank of New Zealand in Pahiatua. has been appointed assistant manager in Christchurch. Mr Knowles Smith, of the Sydney branch of the bank-, will succeed Mr Vincent in Pahiatua. Mr Colin G. Gardner, owner of Emu Plains. Waiau, has been approached by friends in North Canterbury to present himself for selection as the National Party candidate for the Hurunui seat in succession to the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, and after consideration has decided to accede to Uris request.
