Mr and Mrs 11. J. Francis, Renall Street, Masterton, are spending Easter m Wellington. Miss Kummer, Cole Street, Masterton, is spending a few days at Paraparaumu Beach. Mr and Mrs J. Mills, Eastbourne, are staying with Mr and Mrs A. P. Bennett, Essex Street, Masterton. Of interest in theatrical circles is the announcement of the engagement of Miss Viola Wilson, the English soprano lead in the Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company, to Mr Frank Tait, Melbourne, one of the three managing directors of J. C. Williamson, Ltd. Mr Tait is on a holiday visit to New Zealand. and has been travelling with the company in the South Island.
