CRICKET
ODD FELLOWS’ MATCH. MASTERTON v. NELSON. A cricket match arranged between the Loyal Masterton Lodge and the Loyal Nelson Lodge was commenced at the Park Oval this morning. The visitors were received by P.G’s. .Bro. W. A. Palmer. E. Mooney and J. Harris, and on arrival were entertained at the lodge room at morning tea. Nelson batted first. The visitors commented on the splendid condition 'if the Park Oval and the clean appearance of the town. They were pleased With the arrangements made by the local Odd Fellows for their visit. They have invited Loyal Masterton members to visit the Loyal Nelson Lodge next Easter, the occasion being Mie centennial celebrations of the old-. Ist lodge in New Zealand. Loyal Nelwn. This evening the visitors will be entertained at the Lodge Room at a game, of indoor bowls and cards. The gathering is open to every member of the local lodge. The Nelson visitors will leave on Sunday afternoon for Petone to play a match with the Petone lodge members on Monday.
