ATHENS REPORTS ON ENEMY PROGRESS
No Substantial Greek Forces Annihilated NEW SAMPLE OF NAZI BOMBAST MEDITERRANEAN - AND THE INVASION OF BRITAIN (By Telegraph.—Press Association.— Copyright.) (Received This Dav, 11.30 a.m.) ATIJRNS, April 11. Radio dispatches from the front show that neither the Germans nor the Italians have succeeded in annihilating ■ substantial Greek forces. No new German advances are reported in Yugoslavia. The Germans, after reaching Nish, Skoplje and Prilep, have apparently made no further progress towards Albania. . , _ . The Berlin radio claims that German troops occupied Belgrade last night. A spokesman declared that the Serb army was'virtually destroyed and stated that the invasion of England was shelved until after a radical solution of the whole Mediterranean conflict. “The British armies in Greece and Africa will be destroyed,’’ he said. “Then will be the time to consider a direct attack.” ' . The Budapest radio announced that the Hungarian Army had occupied Yugoslav territory between the Danube and Yisya rivers, which was awarded to Yugoslavia in 1918. The radio also claimed that Yugoslav bombers twice unsuccessfully attemped to raid Budapest on April 10. The German News Agency claims that Dr Matchek (the Groat leader) has announced that he is entering an independent Croat Government, under the leadership of Pavelic, head of the terrorists reported to have been responsible for the assassination of King Alexander.
