MARTINBOROUGH SALE. LATE VALUES RULE. Messrs. Wright, Stephenson & Co.. Ltd., report as follows: —A good yarding of slice]! came forward at. the Martinborough sale on Thursday and was offered to a fair attendance. Prices were on a par with late sales and.a total clearance was effected. The following are some of the realisations: — M.a., ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, to 9s Id; fat and forward b.f. lambs, to 18s Gel; fat and forward wether lambs, to 18s 2d; fat ewes, to 11s 2d; b.f. lambs (small), to Ils Id; small woolly owe lambs, to Ils; small woolly wether lambs, to 7s; small m.s. lambs, to 5s 9d.
Messrs. Dalgety & Co., Ltd., report on their Martinborough sale as follows: A good entry of sheep came forward and although the attendance was not large the prices realised were well up on those ruling of late. A total clearance was effected under the hammer and the following will indicate values: —Forward condition 4-tooth wethers, 16s Id, 19s; good white-face wether lambs, 15s; medium white-face-wether lambs, 12s. 13s 6d to 13s 9d; good white face wether lambs. 15s Idf small to medium. 9s 7d to 10s 4d; cull white face wether lambs. ss, 5s 6d to 6s 7d; small ewe lambs, 10s 3d; carry-over 2-tooth ewes. 17s; 2-toolh wethers, 16s Gel; 4 and 6-tooth ewes, r.w. Rom. ram, 15s to 15s 4d: 4 and 5ycar ewes, r.w. Rom. ram, 15s; 5-year do., r.w. Rom. ram, 9s 4d; store ewes. 5s 6d to 6s Id.
