MASTERTON SALE. FORWARD LAMBS IN DEMAND. The Associated Auctioneers report as follows on their weekly Masterton sale held yesterday:—A good yarding of all classes of sheep came forward and were offered to a large attendance' of buyers. The majority of the yarding comprised good shorn and woolly lambs, and for good forward sorts the prices were well up to those ruling at our last sale. Store condition lambs, however, were inclined to be a little easier. Fat sheep and store ewes sold on a par. A total clearance was effected. -and the following list of principal sales will indicate values: —Fat ewes, 8s to 9s; fat wethers, 19s 9d to 21s 6d; fat lambs, 19s to 195.7 d; 2-th. wethers, 17s Gel; extra good woolly ewe lambs, 24s 7d; good woolly ewe lambs, 18s; medium woolly ewe lambs, 15s, 15s 6d to 15s lOd; small woolly ewe lambs, 13s to 13s Gd; good forward wether lambs, 15s 9d, 16s 2d to 17s 9d; store condition do., Ils Id, 12s 10d io 13s lOd: b.f. lambs, medium, 12s Id: b.f. lambs, good, 15s; 2-th. ewes. r.w. Romney ram, 18s; fi-yr.-cld ewes, 9s; f.m. owes, 7s 9d: fattening owes, 6s lOd to 7s; store ewes, 3s 7d to 4 s 8d; child’s pony, £ 12.
PAHIATUA SALE. PRICES FIRM. The Associated Auctioneers report on the Pahiatua sale when a small yarding of sheep and dairy wcaner heifers were offered to a moderate attendance of buyers. The sale was quite firm on late rates.
