TORPEDOES GET HOME
ATTACK ON ENEMY CONVOY IN MEDITERRANEAN HITS SCORED ON TWO SHIPS. 'ADMIRALTY REPORT. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.38 a.m.) RUGBY. April 8. The Admiralty announced tonight: “One of our submarines in the Central Mediterranean carried out a successful attack on a south-bound convoy of heavily laden transports and supply ships. A ship of about 12.000 tons was hit by two torpedoes.
A ship of about 6,000 lons was also hit by a torpedo.”
