NORWAY’S RAITOR
Leadership proclamation BY QUISLING. DECLARATION BY MINISTER IN WASHINGTON. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) NEW YORK, April 9. A message from Oslo states that Major Quisling, in a broadcast proclaimed himself "supreme leader of the Norwegian nation." adding that he would continue to act as such after the war. when Norway according to Germany’s promise, would again be free and independent. The Norwegian Minister to Washington, Mr. Morgenstierne, on the anniversary of the invasion of Norway issued a statement declaring that Norway pledged herself to remain in the war till she cleared the Nazis from the country and also till Nazism was permanently defeated. He added that Norway was entirely unconquered and unbroken and was actively collaborating with Britain.
