OLD EOYS’ CLUB. ANNUAL REPORT. The annual report of the Old Boys Football Club which will be presented to the annual meeting tonight, states inter alia: —"The club had guite a good year, and notwithstanding the number of members that had enlisted with the First Echelon, we managed to field two teams, both of which put .up some very creditable performances and finished in good positions on the championship ladders. The senior team played the Puketoi sub-union team as a curtain-raiser to the Wairarapa-Haw-ke's Bay game, and after a very good game Puketoi succeeded in avenging the defeat they sustained the previous season. After the match a dinner was held and the visitors suitably entertained. We congratulate the following on gaining representative honours during the season:—Senior, D. Faulknor, R. O'Callaghan, T. Wilton; junior. R Morris, B. Rayner. It is a source ol pride that the club should have such a large number of members and exmembers overseas or in camp, there being only three of last year’s senior team left, of whom two are ineligible for service and the other has been accepted for the Air Force. We wish all of them the best of luck and a safe return. We regret very much having to record the deaths of T. E. Denbee anc V. Raymond, both of whom had beer active members of the club, and botl' of whom had gained representative honours. We offer our deepest sympathies to their relatives. The club’: thanks are due to the following:—The ladies’ committee for financial assistance, mending jerseys, etc.: Messrs E Jenkins, T. T. Denbee. E. Sortair Smith, C. Larsen, N. G. Rayner and R J. Smith, for donations; Mr N. H James, the honorary auditor; Messrs J. A. Payne and J. Alexander, the club’s coaches; the Press; and to all supporters of the club.” The report is signed by Mr N. G Rayner (president), and Mr F. M. Morton (hen. secretary).
