HOME CHILDREN

GRANT BY TRUST LANDS TRUST. TO PROVIDE SCHOOL STATIONERY A grant of £5 each to the Methodist Home, Whatman Home and Sedgley Home for the provision of school stationery for children of those homes, especially those attending secondary school, was made at last night’s meeting of the Trust Lands Trust. Mr. A. Owen Jones, who raised the matter, said he believed those attending primary schools were already catered for, but he did not think any provision was made for the purchase of stationery for those inmates of the homes attending secondary school. He moved that a grant of £5 be made to each of the three Masterton homes. Mr. J. H. Handyside, who seconded the motion, which was carried unanimously, said the grant would be appreciated. “I think we should help them,” observed Mr. H. P. Hugo, chairman of the Trust.
