ENEMIES OF UNITY
4 DENOUNCED BY AMERICAN SENATAR HELPERS & LOVERS OF HITLER ATTEMPTS TO DESTROY AID TO ALLIES. IN SPITE OF NATION'S DECISION. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.20 p.m.) WASHINGTON. April 7. Senator Leo asserted in the Senate today that American Quislings werb going about the country telling people, in so many words, to sabotage the defence programme. He said: “Although cur defence programme and our aid to the nations fighting aggression have been stamped with the approval of the American people, certain people are still stumping the country in an effort to destroy unity in America. Hitler helpers and Hitler lovers are not satisfied that we have passed on this question." These persons (without naming names but obviously referring to Senator Wheeler’s clique), he complained were using the radio to play on every discordant note in America.
