RED CROSS SOCIETY
MASTERTON SUB-CENTRE. ASSISTANCE APPRECIATED. At the first annual meeting of the local sub-centre of the Red Cross Society a vote of thanks was passed to the following who by their help had done so much to assist the work of the Society:—Mrs Page, Mr Hugo, Mr Hoar for the use of rooms: Levin and Co.. Power Board, J. Ninnes, C. Smith, Bullick Blackmore, W.F.C.A., for cases: the Wairarapa Steam Laundry for a large quantity of washing and cleaning; “Times-Age," Printing Co., and the “Dominion.” J. Hume. Messrs C. E. Daniell Ltd., and Nichol, for work done; Mr Mulligan and staff of Kenner’s Ltd., for many services: Mrs Burling, Mrs Madden, for donating tea to the Knitting Circle: the tea room staff of Messrs Hugo and Shearer, and Miss Watt; all those who have given the use of sewing machines and furnishings, and all schools and affiliated societies who have given such generous assistance; Jenkin's Motors, for transport; and the committee and members for loyal and generous support.
