DAYLIGHT ATTACKS

MADE BY BRITISH FIGHTERS ON ENEMY POSITIONS IN FRANCE. LIMITED ENEMY ACTIVITY OVER BRITAIN. An Air Ministry communique, transmitted by the 8.8. C., states that Spitfires of the Fighter Command attacked enemy aerodromes, lorries and gun emplacements in occupied France. Another communique stated that there was very little enemy air activity over Britain yesterday; A single plane dropped bombs on a southcoast town. Some houses were demolished, but there were no casualties. Apart from a short, sharp raid on a southwest area, there was not much activity during Saturday night. Some people were killed. On Friday night four enemy planes were destroyed.
