Advice has been received at Air Headquarters in Wellington that another New Zealander has been awarded the D.F.C. Tie is Flying Officer Lindsay Basil Buchanan. His next of kin is his father, Mr. A. R. Buchanan, Palmerston North. Flying Officer Buchanan was born in Palmerston North in 1917 and educated at the Palmerston North Boys’ High School, Otago University and i Victoria University College. He was 1 accepted for a short service commission with the R.A.F. in 1938.
