WEDDING
BRINE—O’NEILL. A pretty all-white wedding was solemnised on Saturday, December 21, 1940, at St. Tarcissius’s Roman Catholic Church, ■ Camberley, England, when Private Philip Thomas O’Neill, of the Second Echelon, New Zealand Expeditionary Force, elder son of Mr and Mrs T. O’Neill, Mastertbn, was I married to Miss Joan Brine, third U -daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Brine, of - “Interse,” Mytchett Road, Frimley Green, London. The service was conducted by the Rev. Canon P. Twomey. Escorted by her father, .the bride looked charming in a gown of slipper satin, cut to fall in a graceful train. Her embroidered net veil was held in place by a halo of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and white heather. The bride was attended by her sisters, the Misses Queenie, Dorothy, Thelma Brine, and a friend. Miss Nellie Parker. The two former wore anklelength white silk frocks with crimson belts and head-dresses of silver leaves and the two younger maids wore long white silk frocks with crimson sashes and head bands. They carried muffs. The duties of best man and groomsman were carried out by Private Duncan and Corporal L. R. Ford, friends of the bridegroom. A reception was held at the bride’s home. Later the bride and bridegroom left for Crewkerne, Somerset, where the honeymoon was spent. The bride travelled in a grey frock and coat| with navy accessories.
