Miss Pearce. Short Street, Masterton. is the guest of Mrs. Gover, Auckland. Mrs. T. W. Wardell, Te Whiti, who has been visiting Auckland, has returned to Masterton. Mrs. Glover, Wanganui, is slaying with Miss Ashwell, Short Street, Masterton. Mrs. Cundy, Featherston, is the guest of Mrs. H. O. Toogood, Renal] Street. Masterton. Mrs. Potion, Nelson, and Miss O. Heffer, Blenheim, are staying with Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Heffer Lansdowne. The wedding took place in Auckland recently of Amy, only daughter of Mr and Mrs. W. J. Blake, French Street Lansdowne, to Allen, second son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Langdon, Grafton Road Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. A. Langdon’s future home will be at Herne Bay, Auckland. Miss Freda Polson, of the clerical staff of Transport (Wairarapa) Ltd., was met by the shareholders of the company last evening and presented with a Pyrex dish mounted on a silver stand in honour of her approaching marriage. Messrs. L. M. Archer and W. Kilmister eulogised the capabilities of Miss Polson, stating that she had proved a very efficient employee. They wished her happiness and success in the future.
