Four Frenchmen were killed and seven wounded during the recent exchanges between shore batteries and British warships off Nemours. There were no casualties aboard the French convoy. A spokesman claimed that Britain had been guilty of six recent unjustified seizures, including two empty tankers. Two fishing vessels were also taken to Gibraltar.
