CONFIRMATION SERVICE

ST. MATTHEW'S CHURCH LAST EVENING. EIGHTEEN ADULTS PRESENTED. Eighteen adult candidates were presented to the Rt. Rev. H. St. Barbe Holland, Bishop of Wellington, in St. Matthew’s Church last night for confirmation. The candidates came from Masterton, Greytown, Featherston and Tinui. In an address subsequent to the confirmation the Bishop said the hope of the future rested with those who were prepared to think constructively and to put more into their lives than they took out of it. World reconstruction could only come in this way and it was essential to get the body of people inspired by that particular spirit.
