ALFREDTON
WOMEN’S WAR SERVICE INTERESTING DEMONSTRATION. ("Times-Age” Special.) The members of the Women's War Service Auxiliary met on Saturday, j Mrs. Stone-Wigg gave an interesting demonstration on the cutting and folding of bandages and arm and leg bandaging. Mr. Reg. Kebbell, assisted by Mrs. Stone-Wigg, instructed the members in marching, after which afternoon tea was served. Personal Items. The hostesses of the euchre party conducted by the Patriotic Society last Saturday were Mesdames Algie, A. Edmonds and Hull. Mr. and Mrs. J. Parsonson and Miss Betty Edmonds are spending a fortnight at Waitarere beach. Mrs. W. Hood is the guest of Mrs. Mouldey, of Carterton. Miss W. Smith has returned to Wellington after having spent a fortnight with her parents, Mr and Mrs T. Smith. Miss Jean Algie is visiting relatives in Palmerston North.
