PONGAROA

HOME NURSING A DIVISION FORMED. (“Times-Age" Special.) There was an attendance of 20 ladies at a meeting in the council chambers, convened by Mr T. A. Yeoman, with a view to forming home-nursing classes. It was unanimously agreed to form a home-nursing division, with headquarters at Pongaroa, classes to be held also at Rakaunui and Waione. The following members were elected an executive:—Mesdames Mayman, Rankin, Theed, Miss C. Kent and Mr C. W. Thom. It was decided that weekly classes be held in the evenings at 7 o'clock, in the\council chambers, the first to commence on Thursday, April 17. Each member of the executive is a trained nurse, and Dr. E. B. Watson, of Pahiatua. will be examiner.
