ST. JOHN’S CHURCH HARVEST FESTIVAL. (“Tiines-Age” Special.) At St. John's Church harvest thanksgiving services were held on Sunday when there was a substantial quantity of gifts displayed in the church, which had. been beautifully decorated for the occasion. The Rev. J. R. Higgs was the preacher at the morning and evening services. The produce is to be distributed to the various orphanages and homes. To Be Confirmed. There will be fou/- candidates from St. John’s parish confirmed at St. Matthew’s Church, Masterton, this evening. Destroyed by Enemy Action. The Rev. J. R. Higgs has just received word from London that all his property at Coventry was destroyed by enemy action in November. Euchre Party and Dance. There was a good attendance at the euchre party and dance held at Kaiwaiwai on Saturday night. The prizewinners were: —Ladies: Miss Simmons 1, Miss’McKenley 2. Men: Mr A. Feast I,'Mr H. Scrimgeour 2. Personal Items. ' Miss Molly Clapshaw has returned to Wellington after a holiday spent in Dannevirke and Featherston. Miss Wharton, infant mistress, has received word of her appointment to the Levin School and will leave to take up her duties after the term holidays. Mr A. S. Kilsby visited Featherston for the weekend. Miss K. Merlet, Picton, is visiting her mother, Mrs E. Merlet, Waite Street. Sergeant A. R. Robbins, of the Foxton Military Camp, was a visitor to Featherston for the weekend.
