OBITUARY
MISS CATHERINE CHAMBERLAIN. The many friends of Miss Catherine Chamberlain, of Cole Street, Masterton, will regret to hear of her death, which occurred suddenly in Auckland on Saturday, when she was on a visit to her sister, Mrs. D. J. Graham. The second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Chamberlain of “Rosswood,” Upper Plain, the late Miss Chamberlain, had resided almost all her life at the Upper Plain, and had recently’ taken up her residence in Masterton. She was of a quiet, generous disposition and devoted herself to helping others. She was a staunch supporter of Knox Church. The late Miss Chamberlain, who was held in high respect by her many friends, is* survived by three sisters, Mesdames G. McGregor (Sydney), D. J. Graham (Papakura), and James Smith (Khandallah), and two brothers. Messrs. W. E. Chamberlain (Gisborne) and A. Chamberlain (Waverley). The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving Knox Church, following a service at 2.30 p.m. for the Masterton Cemetery.
