AIR FORCE RELATIONS
MASTERTON COMMITTEE. I MONTHLY MEETING. At the monthly meeting of the Air Force Relations Committee the following members were present: Mesdames H. J. W. Lord (in the chair), G. W. Sellar, P. Nathan, S. J. Gill. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames J. A. Betts and L. Gray. A report was received from Headquarters at Wellington, stating that “nine cases and three bales of woollies have been packed and sent from this office, two of the bales of woollies having been sent to Canada and the rest to England. Owing to shippingdifficulties there was some delay re-
garding some of the cases for England, but these have now left Wellington." The report goes on to say “Two letters of thanks ,and appreciation, dated December 10 and 12 have come from the R.A.F. Comforts Committee, London, thanking us for foodstuffs and pullovers that have arrived there. The Masterton branch packed 207 tins of food, including fruit cakes, barley sugar, biscuits, coffee and milk, condensed milk, tinned butter and cheese and tongues. Thirty-two pullovers were sent, also twenty balaclavas and one pair of gloves. The committee wish to thank the following helpers and donors of tinned food: Mt. Bruce Women's Institute. Parcels of comforts and donations may be sent to any member of the committee, or left at the offices of Messrs Dunderdale and Gray, Page’s Buildings, Perry Street, Masterton.
